I personally believe aging takes both courage and honesty. Aging is about putting fear in its place. It doesn't mean we don't have mixed emotions about getting older, or sick, or seeing our friends or family get sick; it means we find a healthy way to acknowledge fear, but to bring it into the light. It means understanding that life might not be how you expected it to be at this point, but that there is a way through and it can be done with dignity. And yes, that takes courage and honesty.
