as a child most of us think everyone has a best friend
but friends come and go
you may change
or they do
or perhaps your world is in transition
our experiences mold us and shape us
into different versions of ourselves
our core remains
but the colors of our soul brightens and fades
we circle around
come and go
feel bent
or stand proud
but each is an expression of who we are in that moment
friends
those who you trust with every fiber of your being
those you simply enjoy hanging out with
and those who you see regularly but don’t necessarily have a deep connection
friends
we circle around
come and go
Visiting Durango these couple of days has blessed my heart (and my head) with gratitude. My friends have carried me through several years of 'rough'. A good quote to live by is "be the change' and by my Durango friends' actions, I am a changed person, a grateful person.
I have not taken photos of everyone I have seen...
There was Shauna at Nature's Oasis who joyfully told me she found a perfect rental situation that fit her heart and her budget.
John and Happy, Jan, and Ryan & Dax, all former neighbors.
Checking in with Mariann and Tom, neighbors and kind hearts who are dealing with many medical issues.
JM, instructor of my very favorite yoga class EVER (kaiutyogadurango.com)
Drinks and dinner with friends Donna & Scott and Ceci & Bert
I bumped into Josh, Mr. Amazing, partner to friend Lauren, at Durango Joes... my stop for a good morning coffee.
And waiting now for the infamous crew of '3 Old Ladies and a Kid' to gather at 'my' condominium for a much needed catch-up.
