I suppose that is a natural part of grief and loss, but at some point the pity party must ease, allowing the love memories to surface again. With that in mind I decided to write a list of as many 'get-aways' as I could remember. In 43 years there was only one disaster; we never made it to Matt's high school graduation and instead spent 5 very sad days stuck in a hotel in an industrial park 15 miles outside Chcago. There had been plane issues.
I began a list while doing my morning pages today and throughout the day memories surfaced one by one. These are in no particular order; each one is a joyful memory. Least I not forget, we had amazing adventures!

I know there are more adventures, but this list, written fairly quickly, tells me I have plenty to focus on other than pain, worry and sadness; I have had so many adventures with my best friend!
And one of the biggest adventures, besides adjusting to Parkinson's, was our move to Colorado... a new world.
