Durango shouts adventure. Living here for 18+ years I have done many of the typical visitor tourist attractions... you know, the top ten must dos you read about in the travel brochures you get at the Visitor Center. I have ridden the train, done a stagecoach ride, been camping in National Forest, soaked in the Hot Springs (both paid and wilderness) and listened to hoe-down music at the Bar-D! I have attended 4th parades in both Durango and Bayfield, been to Snowdown events, the Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering and Mesa Verde.
So this morning's staycation adventure added one more notch in the Durango must dos... I FINALLY did the Sky Steps.
I considered asking a friend to join me, but I'm so out-of-shape I decided to go alone. I'm glad, as I did stop several times. My breathing was fine, but my legs were wobbly; guess I had better keep this up!
