- Our culture thrives on competition. We're told a story from the time we're born that success looks like standing out, it looks like winning, it looks like beating the rest. Nope. Jesus modeled for us; success looks like service. It looks like putting other people first.
- Grace lets us hum the parts of life we don't understand yet, while we figure out the words.
- Be strong enough to stay in the knowing of who you are.
- More than anything I want to trust a journey I don't understand.
- Consider: each of us has blind spots, the places where we don't see our prejudice or privilege.
- The most beautiful people wear their hearts on their selves and their souls in their smiles.
- Sometimes it helps in the moment to think: people aren't being difficult, they are having difficulties.
- Faith and Fear: both demand that you believe in something you cannot see. You choose!

Love doesn't need to be loud, it just needs to be more important to us than our opinions.
I'm not really sure what set me on this course of writing down my thoughts, but I do enjoy words. Words are crucial to the human existence, they are a gift we don't often appreciate. Sometimes my words are written to see path through a difficult situation. Sometimes they are to help me internalize a truth. But at the end of each sentence or thought, they become a mirror to my heart and the hope of intentionally trying to be a better person.
