As I have said in other posts, I lived my school year to go to camp. Camp was bliss. Camp was adventure, constant singing, vespers, raising & lowering the flag, being in a tight community and all things summer.
I come from a large family of 8. Dinner around the dining room table, always with 'proper' manners being practiced. Camp had mealtime rules, but they seemed so much more relaxed. the singing after each meal was light to the day.
"Rise and Shine" (sung 1960-1970 at every camp I went to!)
Chorus:
Rise and shine and give God your glory, glory!
Rise and shine and give God your glory, glory!
Rise and shine and (clap once) give God your glory, glory!
