peace like a river
my wish
and my hope
the flow of my energy
surges forward
seeking an inlet
a place of calm
a place in the shallows
not moving
idle
peace like a river
it’s a gift to my soul
my sorrow
hides in those shallows
as the river shares
assurance
flourishing from its depths
i am grateful
for the image
the reminder
that life flows forward
always forward like a river
never backwards
peace
like a river
allowing me to change
to go with the flow
onward
forward
right here
right now
in hope
It has been a whirlwind few weeks. I have met with my lawyer, banker, estate executor, medicare insurance folks and today my realtor (post 9/20/15). All of them are amazing and wonderful; each have gifted me with their absolute attention to my needs. They have helped me focus on the things I want most vs the things I want now.
In discerning the 'rightness' of moving, I listed all the places I have lived and pondered if it was a hard move, if I settled, made friends and enjoyed where I lived. I can say unequivocally, that I adjusted to each move. Yes, I enjoyed the space of some more than others, but I have always said I can make a home out of any house and looking back, that's true.
So where have I lived?
- Balder Road, Worcester, MA
- Ardmore Road, Worcester
- 100 Highland Street, Holden
- Damon Road, Holden
- Wright Hall, UVM, Burlington, VT
- Converse Hall, Burlington
- Jeanne Mance Hall, Burlington
- crummy apartment near the dog track, Colorado Springs, CO
- crummy house near NORAD, Colorado Springs
- Raymond Street, Holden, MA
- the Cabin, Warren, VT
- Dott's house, Rte. 100, Warren
- the Lickles, Warren
- Foster Place, Waitsfield
- 1980 House, Waitsfield
- 1980 House, Bayfield, CO
- Estancia House, Durango
That is 17 places and all were HOME. Given that history, I believe I can do this again; make a home in Tucson. I guess time will tell...
