GRAPE SALAD
I have only eaten this and not made it yet. I am writing the recipe as if I had made it, altering it a bit (i.e. less sugar and adding pecans into the salad).
Ingredients:
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
- a splash of maple sugar (recipe calls for 1/2 cup sugar)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 pounds seedless red grapes
- 2 pounds seedless green grapes
- 1 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon + melted butter
- 1 cup + chopped pecans
- Wash grapes, remove from stems, dry.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, sour cream, maple syrup and vanilla until blended. This recipe makes a lot of dressing so you can cut it down or save for another fruit salad adventure.
- Melt butter in pan, add nuts and coat, add brown sugar and saute for a few minutes. Cool.
- Put dry grapes into a second bowl and add dressing a bit at a time. Toss to coat.
- Add most of the nuts to the salad and reserve a few for the top.
- Transfer to a serving bowl. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
