Asking for help, even when genuinely offered, does not come naturally to me. Admitting you need someone to do something for you is sometimes embarrassing and makes me feel a bit lame. It can also raise a bit of anger at the thought of needing help.
This morning I read this quote ("Time Management for the Christian Leader" by Ken Willard) and it spoke to me.
"When we rely on our own perspective in life, we often slip into convenient rationalizations and blind spots. We need people who invest in our lives- people who share authenticity with us and who are truth tellers."
There are many people who 'raise me up'. 5 of them are my siblings and their families.
