Everyday isn't a trial of course. Everyday is abundantly filled with opportunity. Everyday is a gift of life and our job is to 'see' the possibilities and act on them. By waking with a good attitude we will significantly determine our changing circumstances.
There is a silent space within all of us. It is a space in our brain that only we control. Outside influences shove their way in to intrude, but we have the ultimate control. We can choose grace and hope and inspiration.
Two books have caught my attention lately.
The second book is "In 27 Days" by Alison Gervais. Alison is the niece of my friend Angie and began this book when she was just 15. She wrote on the online platform Wattpad, a free site for both writers and readers. Her following became so large that publishers began to take notice. "In 27 Days" is the story of 'what if'. What if I chose to befriend the geek in school? What if I didn't just listen to what others said, but instead made up my own mind? What if I realized that everyone, EVERYONE, has a back story? What if I could help a person to choose a different path than suicide? The premise of the book is simply complicated; Hadley has 27 days to help Archer make a different choice. It is an in your face explosion to remember what you see on the surface of a person may not be the whole story. Be patient. Be kind. Care. Listen. And who knows, you may come to love!
Both books are inspirational in their own way. Don't consider reading them unless you want to grow as a human. Don't consider reading them if you have a closed heart. And by all means if you do choose to read them, have tissues handy!re into, it's all free on Wattpad: the world's largest community for readers and writers.
