Do not pray for easy lives; pray to be stronger men and women.
Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers; pray for power equal to your tasks.
The, the doing or your work will will be no miracle.
Every day you will wonder at yourself and the richness of life which has come to you by the grace of God.
You Linda, you are a miracle.
Amen
I love you Linda
This prayer was written by Rev. Phillips Brooks and President John F. Kennedy quoted it at a Presidential Prayer breakfast in 1963.
Most of us save special mementos, some of us more than others. Recently I use my blog for saving moments and thoughts. But occasionally I need to keep available a photo, poem or prayer. This prayer was one of those treasures and this morning it was a perfect reminder when my eyes found the words. Russ was again reminding me that my prayers are not for begging for things to go 'just how I want things to be', but rather to make myself available to possibility.
I thank my sweet man Russell for his presence in my life; my hero.
