That said, navigating without a laptop is, in itself, a challenge! I believe we all equate the term ‘addiction’ with drugs and alcohol. What about technology? My early morning sphere is utterly compromised. Last week, while Russ was doing the dishes I ‘killed’ my laptop. I brought the rest of my dinner wine in to do a couple of emails. My sad, but true tale has a beginning and an end. Nice wine, spilled wine, dead laptop.
It has shattered my daily pattern. It will soon shatter my bank account. I mopped and dried, but it would not turn on. My IT friend cleaned it up and it WILL boot up. He will be able to retrieve files, but he cannot actually make it work again. Sigh.
I cannot afford a $2000.- expense right now. Russ (IT guy), is looking for the $1000- refurbished version. Until then I deal with the iPad. Not ideal, but allows my ‘addiction’ with email and the web to continue, The pace is a challenge, as is the structure, and I am hoping he finds a good option soon. May my sad tale morph into a newer version of peace.
